George: Thank you for always being there. Dorinda and I always felt special when our invitation for the Christmas Tree Trimming arrived from you and Emile’. Those were special nights. Dorinda cherishes the last time she was able to visit with you.
George,
Thank you for always being there. You ha
Dorinda and I are so sorry for your loss. For our loss, George was a friend for many years. We were always thrilled to receive our invitation from George and Emile’ to the annual Christmas Tree Trimming Party. It was a special event with so many friends in attendance. The last time we both visited George, Dorinda cherished her time reviewing the wall of photographs from all those parties, and she had the special treat of playing with George’s great-grandsons!
I was especially proud when both George and Emile’ made the time in their busy schedules to attend my retirement ceremony. I have attached a picture of me and Jim at George’s retirement. George was dressed for mine much more professionally than I for his.
I was blessed to see George this last summer and I will miss him.

Where to begin all of the fond memories of George, and Emile, during the fourteen years we lived across the street from them. They were like grandparents to our children. I recall more than once asking George to watch Jack who was taking a nap, while I drove to the preschool to pick up Deena. He was always glad to do it. We had many fun times together from the Fourth of July parties, swimming in their pool, and the many Christmas tree decorating parties they held. It always amazed me how they would invite so many people over to handle Emile’s special ornaments. George was the best host serving drinks and food.
We have remained friends since 1972. George would come regularly to Wednesday night dinners with our church friends. We kept the tradition going to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together. The last few years he would come over to Jack’s July 4th party. We kept in touch each week by phone if not in person. George, I am sure you are enjoying being united with the love of your life, Emile. Sorry we never got back to Morongo Casino so you could spend the rest of your player’s ticket! You will always be in our hearts.
