Captain Paul Ninichuck USMC, retired; took his ultimate flight to eternity on Friday, February 11, 2022... 97 years young.

Paul was born in Richese, Poland on August 26, 1924. He was brought to America at the age of 9 months and grew up on a farm in Bethel, Ohio as a loving son and brother. Captain Ninichuck served 20 commendatory years as a Marine Pilot and Instructor, including helicopters. He was an enlisted Korean War Veteran who steadfastly flew with his squadron, “The Flying Peons: #14.” Throughout his military career he was awarded many citations and medals; including the highest Military honor for Valor in Flight, The Distinguished Flying Cross!

Over the years he has bestowed his illustrious service to the Emblem Club, various Church Ministries and participated in the 90+ research study at UCI.

Captain Ninichuck will be sorely missed, by all his beloved... wife: Roberta Ninichuck, children: Dr. Andrew J. Ninichuck (Theresa), Jeanne Clement, Alberta Ninichuck, Marianne Rose (Larry), sonin-law Bob McFerran, daughter-in-law Joanne Ninichuck, step-children: Diana Whitcomb (Pat), Joe Horn, Mary Ellen Gonzales (Jon), Stephen Horn, sisters-in-law: Wanda Ninichuck, Teresa Casertano, various nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife: Alberta S. Ninichuck and children: Paul R. Ninichuck and Marie McFerran.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary, 220 E. Main St., Tustin, CA. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 19th at 10:00 am at Christ Our Saviour Catholic Parish, 2000 W. Alton Ave., Santa Ana, CA. Interment will be Tuesday, March 22nd at 11:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren, Riverside, CA

  1. My deepest sympathy to ALL Uncle Paul’s family In California. I have wonderful memories when my Aunt Mae brought me out there year after year to get to know my California family ! Many of those included special outings with Uncle Paul , one in particular was when he took me flying and let me fly the plane, I think I was 9 or 10 , but what an impression on me ! Thank you Uncle Paul for allowing us to come stay with you every year and make such special memories ! Rest In Peace until we meet again ! All my love ❤️❤️
