Oswald "Ozzie" Guillen
Oswald “Ozzie” Guillen passed peacefully at his home in Tustin, CA, at the age of 96 on Oct. 27, 2021. Born in Los Angeles, he married the love of his life, Mary, in 1948. They raised three children: A son, David, who passed away in 2009 and two daughters, Michele and Denise.
Ozzie had a successful career in retail management that spanned 25-plus years. An avid sport fisherman, he enjoyed deep sea fishing and surf fishing at local beaches with his family. When he was 50, he joined the Knights of Columbus, a global Catholic fraternal service order. He was a 4th Degree member of Council 7895, Saint Raymond Catholic Church, in Downey. He was elected Grand Knight and led the council for several years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Guillen, daughters Denise Mosgrove and Michele Yordon, sons-in-law Michael Mosgrove and Mark Yordon, grandchildren Sara Mosgrove, Christopher Mosgrove, Kristie Alamo, Antonello Conti, and great-granddaughter Christine Pernisco.
Funeral mass to be celebrated on Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 1301 Sycamore Ave., Tustin, CA, followed by graveside services at Ascension Cemetery, 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA. In lieu of flowers, the Guillen family wishes to donate to the Knights of Columbus. The process for the donation is to make the check payable to The Columbian Foundation, note on the check ‘In Memory of Oswald Guillen’ and send to:
