Robert Hill
Hill, Robert Charles ThomasOn Sunday, October 21, 2018, Robert Hill, husband, father, son, and brother passed away suddenly at the age of 57 years. A native Canadian, Robert earned his BBA at Wilfred Laurier University (Waterloo), MBA Finance Degree from McMaster University (Hamilton) and CMA in Toronto. In 1996 he and his wife Caroline moved to California, where he worked in the mortgage industry for twelve years before moving on to Wells Fargo for a decade, most recently as VP in Corporate Finance. Throughout his life, Rob’s curiosity took him skydiving and car racing, exploring, camping and off-roading. His interests were many and varied. Whenever something piqued his curiosity he committed himself wholly and completely to learning and mastering it. Rob just recently surprised friends and family when he published a novel. He shared this passion for adventure and learning with his family as they grew, loved and laughed together. Rob will be forever remembered by his wife Caroline and their children Arthur and Conrad, by his father Fred Hill, and by his brothers and sister, John, Todd, and Kelly. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.Donations in memory of Rob may be made to: American Heart AssociationPO Box 742030Los Angeles, CA 90074-2030www.heart.org1-800-242-8721 Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada110-1525 Carling AveOttawa, ON, K1Z 8R9www.heartandstroke.ca1-877-882-2582 Christopher & Dana Reeve FoundationParalysis Research Foundation636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3AShort Hills, NJ, 07078www.christopherreeve.org Rick Hansen Spinal Cord Injury ResearchDonor Relations6400-818 West 10th AveVancouver, OB, V5Z 1M9www.rickhanseninstitute.org

To all of Rob’s family, especially Caroline, Arthur and Conrad, our heartfelt sympathy. Caroline you and Rob were a true love story. You overcame so many obstacles together and your love for each other was a bond that is to be cherished and was inspirational. Rob took his obstacles in his stride and I will never forget his sheer determination to live his life to the fullest, in spite of how he would have to live it. His sense of humour was contagious and true. We hope for you that your memories bring you strength and peace now and in your future.
