Emerald C Herrington, Jr.
Emerald C. Herrington Jr. (Charles), a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on November 27, 1938, in Ferndale, Michigan, Charles lived a life full of creativity, adventure, and love.
In his earlier years, Charles found joy in building rubber band airplanes and looked forward to gathering with his friends every Sunday morning to share in the delightful pastime of flying them. His passion for cycling brought him many memorable experiences as he traveled with his beloved wife, and their two dogs, Pinky and Tabi. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his commitment to his country and community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita, who stood by him through the years; as well as his children, Gail and Robert, who carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter, Juanita, and his beloved grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of their grandfather.
In honoring his life, a viewing will be held on August 1 at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin, CA, from 5 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass service will take place on August 2 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Ana, CA, at 10:30 AM, followed by a graveyard service at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
