Edilberto Pantig, affectionately known as Eddie to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on January 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Eddie was born on February 1, 1946, in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, to Jacinto and Fortunata Pantig. He was the third of six siblings: Liberata, Wilfredo, Gil, Carmelita and Remedios.

After graduating from Holy Angel High School, Eddie went on to attend the Mapúa Institute of Technology, where he pursued Mechanical Engineering—a profession to which he dedicated 32 years of hard work and commitment.

A devoted and loving husband to Elvie, Eddie was a pillar of strength and unwavering support for his family. Together, they shared 55 years of marriage and raised three daughters: Marizel, Myrabelle, and Melanie.

Eddie had many passions in life, including gardening, cooking, and being a devoted member of the Friday night Rosary group. Above all, his greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his six grandchildren: Joshua, Noah, Ethan, Lyla, Elena, and Evie.

He was known for his hearty, infectious laugh—one that could instantly light up any room and bring smiles to those around him.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife Elvie; his daughters and sons-in-law (Bong, Anthony and Lloyd); his six grandchildren; his siblings; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply and forever cherish his memory.
