David Alexander Grant
David was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in Northbrook Illinois, where he was captain of his high school soccer team and an Illinois State Scholar. He graduated with Honors from the University of Wisconsin in 2002 and summa cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a Law Review editor, in 2008. Upon graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to a Federal Judge, the Honorable Manuel Real. Upon completing his clerkship, he began his legal career with Payne & Fears LLP, rising to Partner.
David was a brilliant, humble, kind, and loving man. He was most happy spending time with his precious Ellie and Henry and doing what they enjoyed including gymnastics, basketball, chess, soccer, reading, coloring, Legos, video games, making slime, cooking and many other family activities.
He is now at peace in his mother Trishy’s gentle arms.
There will be a celebration of his life on Thursday, February 2nd at 1 pm PST at Saddleback Chapel, Tustin, CA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the YMCA of Orange County at https://www.ocnonprofitcentral.org/donate?campaign_id=57970
David will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to cross his path.

Our hearts are crushed with Dave’s passing. He has been a part of our lives for many years. He and our late son Jordan were friends in high school and Dave’s connection to our family grew through the years. He supported us after Jordan’s death in ways both big and small, perhaps in ways he never knew. He accomplished much and overcame many obstacles. Rest in peace dear friend; you are forever with us.
