Doña Clare Thompson
Always one to want to make others smile, it was only natural that Doña soon made a very rewarding marketing career at the “Happiest Place on Earth” – Disneyland. She later transitioned into the medical field and remained as a medical assistant for the next two decades, undoubtedly helping countless patients through their anxieties with her cheerful disposition. Doña and “the love of her life”, John (also with the Disney Company), spent almost 26 wonderful years of marriage before John’s passing in 2014.
Doña is survived by her brother Steven Stevenson and his wife, Rosa, nieces Amanda and Elizabeth, stepson John (Laura) Thompson, step-grandchildren Andrew and Joshua, and an extraordinary group of friends. Anyone that was blessed to spend time with Doña knew what an outstanding personality she had. Her warm, funny, and compassionate nature are unmatched, and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in honor of Doña to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Orange County Animal Allies, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.

Growing up Dona and my childhoods were so intertwined. We were in and out of each other’s homes. Her mother, Jo, our scout leader mine the assistant. Sleep overs, Girl Scout camps. Just so much
Probably a favorite was a Girl Scout trip to Disney land, riding the Matterhorn and singing the marine Corp hymn at the top of our lungs and laughing and laughing and laughing
My life has been richer for having such an amazing loving talented forever friend in my life.
I will miss just the knowledge that she is a phone call or email away. Knowing that I won’t get a Christmas card the day after thanksgiving as hers were always the first to arrive
My deepest condolences to her family. She loved you all so much.

Dona was one of my first friends. Even when we were six years old she was sunshine and laughter. She was always kind and generous to everyone. She and I have kept in touch, especially these last few years. Everyone, I am sure, will remember her killer smile and abundant energy. I will miss her always. Kathleen (Dyrdahl) Puccio
Dona was a very nice and kind person. The world will not be the same without her.

Just like all who knew her, I also loved her and enjoyed being her friend. I remember sitting around her dining room table and visiting with Dona and both of her parents. I remember the trips we took, usually in my car with her driving (she loved to drive and I hate to drive) so we were well matched. We always had such fun and much laughter. She will forever be in my heart.

Oh Dona! What a ray of sunshine you were! You never met a stranger, and everyone that knew you had their lives touched by an angel. We were in the band, together, scouts, flags, and were good friends throughout Jr high and high school. Your smile would light up the entire room, your talent was unsurpassed and the love you had for your family and friends could not ever be doubted. You will be missed by so many.

I am sorry for your loss. She was my first girlfriend in junior high school. Always smiling and friendly. Beautifully musically and theatrically talented. She will be sorely missed.
I am so sorry. Dona was a great friend to have for so long. Among many other things, she taught me how to body surf. I am the person I am today because I knew her. May she ride on the wings of eagles. ESHS Class of 1969. Val
