Gary Richard Siegel
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Richard Siegel, who left us on October 13, 2025, at the age of 90. He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, cousin, father, grandparent, great-grandparent, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born in Orange County, California, on June 30, 1935, Gary grew up to be a person of great character, kindness, and strength. He dedicated his life to his wife Judy, his family, service in the Tustin Community, and friendships, always striving to help others and make a positive difference in the world.
Gary is survived by his wife Judy Siegel, sister Patricia Gibson, daughter and son-in-law Bob and Susie McIntosh, son Kenneth Siegel, four grandsons and their wives Tony & Nikki McIntosh, Trevor and Samantha McIntosh, Ryan and Elizabeth Siegel, and Robert (Bud) and Devon McIntosh, and eleven great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Gary’s dedication to community and youth development was evident throughout his life. He was an active member of the Future Farmers of America, Chapter 208, in the 1950s, where he developed a lifelong passion for agriculture and leadership. He was the founder and president of the Tustin Blue and Gold 4-H Club, the President of Tustin Eastern Little League, an Indian Guides Chief, and served as an officer on the Tustin High School Student Council during his school years before later becoming an Alumni Reunion Organizer. He continued his service as a Charter Member and Board Member of the Tustin Jaycees, a Board Member of the Tustin Area Historical Society, and as a two-time President and Lifetime Member of the Tustin Host Lions Club. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored as the City of Tustin’s Tustin Area Man of the Year in 2001.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Waverley Chapel, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana. A brief Graveside Service will immediately follow. A reception will be held from 12:30pm until 3:00pm, location TBD. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gary Siegel’s memory to the Tustin Host Lions Club and mailed to THLC, P.O. Box 66, Tustin, CA 92781. The Tustin Lions Club was Gary’s favorite service club; he was the perfect embodiment of the club's motto, "WE SERVE." All proceeds will benefit the Tustin Community.
Gary will be remembered for his devotion to family, community, and leadership, as well as his sense of humor and wisdom. The legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire us all. May he Rest In the Peace of our Good Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Gary was one of the kindest and friendliest people we have known through the years. Al spent many years in THLC together with Gary. Judy and Susie. They were wonderful, memorable years. One of the things I admired most was the loving Grandfather and family represented in Facebook posts. What a precious, God-given gift. Our prayers are with all your family

What a legacy he left. I can still hear his voice and thoughtful cadence of speech. He had such a distinctive voice. What a gardener. I never knew vegetables could taste good and not be from a can;). He will be missed by Judy, Susie, his entire family and all his friends. He is up there in heaven planting a garden and telling stories! I am so sad he is gone but he will never be forgotten💔

Sending my thoughts to Judy, Susie, and the rest of Gary’s family, hoping warm memories and the prospect of reuniting with Gary in the future bring you some peace. I know he will be missed terribly. He was a fantastic man, my uncle. I hold many warm memories of Uncle Gary, especially childhood memories of beach celebrations and visits to his home in Tustin. Love you Uncle Gary. Hugs to his family. Julie
Aunt Suz, first of all, we’re so sorry for the loss of your Father. I talked to the boys and told them what I’m going to tell you. What a beautiful man, with such a great long life lived to the fullest! He was a stud, always so nice to us and interested in what we were doing… he loved your boys and will be missed dearly.
He was the absolute best papa. I didn't grow up with any grandpas on either side, and I feel so blessed and thankful to have had him in my life all these years. I'll miss him so much…

The two of you are role models. Thank you for sharing. Gary & I crossed paths on Esplanade, we looked at each other and said "I know you" but we couldn't figure out from what part of our world. He was such a sweet person. We moved out of CA January 2019, to Florida then in 2023 The Black Hills of South Dakota where our daughter settled. You have a treasure chest of wonderful memories with Gary. Take care. Helen

Judy, I'm so sorry. I enjoyed his face book stories with family and blessed to have known you both for so many years. I love you and God Bless
In the McGuire Family, we call it 'winning the lottery' when we think of our Mom & Dad. I think of how lucky you are, along with all the family that stayed close to Gary – he was truly an extraordinary man whose spirit reflected love and peace. I can't even imagine Gary being upset or too busy to stop and listen. That beautiful spirit lives on in you and the rest of the family, along with so many others he crossed paths with…including me. Pat Boone would say that Gary just 'changed addresses' – but the loss must be crushing. God Speed Gary
