Glenda Lee Walker

glenda walker

Glenda Lee Walker was born in Glendora, California on November 27th, 1961 to Glen Elbert Yorgason and Nancy Lee Noel. Growing up in La Verne, she was the eldest of 8 siblings. She graduated from Bonita High School in 1979. She went on to attend Cypress College, graduating from the mortuary science program in 1982. Working for many funeral home establishments over the course of her career she truly was the best there was. She loved to spread her intricate knowledge and teach the art of embalming as she called it. She had many students apprentice under her and taught so many. She had two daughters, Krista (Greg) and Stephanie (Diego) and 4 grandchildren that were her world; Zoey, Nolan, Coralee and Boden. Later in life she built an interest for reflexology and energy healing, following in her father’s shared passion. She received her massage therapy license and from there she soared. She went on to be the massage manager at Burke Williams and later the program director for massage therapy at American Career College. She was quick witted with the best sense of humor. She was always herself, loved to meet people and network. With that she was able to create a business for herself. She knew all the skills of the trade; sports massage, deep tissue, reflexology, reiki, you name it. With her mobile massage and chair massage business (Liquidtouch) she grew a huge clientele over the years. Many of which became great friends for the rest of her life! She loved to be active and was always involved in something. Qigong, Reiki healing, drum circles, heart link, letip. She always liked to help people whether it was with a ride, a warm bed or some money. She was always humble, never judged, could always see the good in people and was a good listener. Having an amazing sense of being able to really understand someone. Always loving her daughters’ friends and treating them like her own. She cared so fiercely and loved everyone in her life deeply. In 2012 she reunited with her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Johannes “Hans” Walker, and on October 27, 2012 they finally married. In the 11 years they were married, they did many things to make up for lost time. They traveled, went to the beach, cooked dinner together and truly embraced each others company to the fullest! In late 2020 she was diagnosed with colon cancer but never once lost her positive attitude. She was a fighter through and through. Never gave up hope and fought so fiercely even her doctors were impressed. The love of her life, Hans stood by her side through the entirety. On May 7, 2024 she entered into eternal life with her sweetheart by her side holding her hand. She lived an amazing life, taught many, and helped plenty. She had the heart of a Goddess and was the true Good Witch! She will forever leave a lasting impression on our lives and we will miss her so much.

  1. Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home says:

From your family at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home…
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May she rest in eternal peace.

  2. If you knew her, you’d know she just made the other side brighter, wiser, happier – better. She made people better – whether she was working on the deceased (as a mortician preparing bodies for final rites and funerals) or whether she was working on the living (as a massage master and massage teacher and massage therapy manager and holistichealer). She not only brought to the therapists the mastery of techniques, she brought to them human connection, she brought the humanity. I always told Glenda she could’ve easily been a physician. But I’m so glad she wasn’t just an MD. Her life was far more interesting and fascinating. We had that same dark sense of humor and love for human anatomy and forensics and death science. She was something else. If she wasn’t helping you, she was teaching you. If she wasn’t teaching you, she was making you laugh. If she wasn’t making you laugh. She was making you smile. If she wasn’t making you smile she was doing something to make things better. That was Glenda. From one good witch to another, Glenda the Good Witch, I’ll never ever forget you. Be at bliss. Be eternally at bliss. ✨💛🙏
