Marie Christine Barrett Fajarda

Marie Christine Barrett Fajarda, lovingly known as Christy, passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 62, in Moreno Valley, California. Christy was born on December 24, 1963, in Frances, Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines. 

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family was fierce, constant, and unwavering. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working as a surgical technician and later serving her community through her work with the United States Post Office.  

Outside of work, Christy was an avid sports fan and proudly known as the loudest and most enthusiastic cheerleader whenever her children and grandchildren were playing. A passionate fan of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, she brought the same energy and loyalty to sports as she did to her family.

Christy was kind, generous, and deeply loving. She had a gift for making those around her feel supported and cherished.She was preceded in death by her father, Jim. 

She is survived by her mother, Nenita; her beloved husband, Reynaldo; her sons John, James, and Jan Rey; her daughters-in-law Steffany, Carla, and Abigail; and her treasured grandchildren Haillee, Haig, Clarke, Mahalyn, Junie, Jálen, Giselle, Nathan, and Lorenzo. She is also survived by her sisters Claire and Mary, and her brother Paul.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held on January 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Saddleback Chapel – Tustin, located at 220 East Main Street, Tustin, CA 92780.Christy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
