Nancy and I were childhood friends. We both went to St. Anne’s Catholic School in Santa Ana. When my dad drove us to Big Bear for fun in the snow, we usually invited Nancy to come along. Through life Nancy was a faithful friend. She never forgot to send a card on my birthday. She had help remembering though, since it was the same day as her sister Jeannie’s. If too much time lapsed between calls, she’d be the first to pick up the phone. She had a beautiful singing voice and an adventurous spirit. She loved her family, and couldn’t brag enough about her grandson. I think she made the most of life, and she will be missed, but always remembered.
