With deep love and broken hearts, we share that Thomas Lee Casper, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Donna; his daughter, Brandy; and his son-in-law, Corey.
Known as Tom, he was born in Los Angeles on May 11, 1940, to Benjamin (Ben) and Dorothy Casper. He grew up with his older brother, Clyde James (Jimmy), who was born in 1938. Tom graduated from South Gate High School in 1958 and in his late teens, he briefly worked at Disneyland as a Jungle Cruise captain.
Tom met his future wife, Donna Tucker, in 1960. After dating for five years, they married in August of 1965. In 1970, they moved to Garden Grove, California, where Tom worked as a salesman in the printing and manufacturing industry. They welcomed their daughter, Brandy, in 1975. The family later moved to Irvine in 1985, where Tom went on to own and operate TDB Products, a business named for Tom, Donna, and Brandy.
Tom made friends easily and cherished friendships from every chapter of his life, including school, work, his neighborhood, and one of his favorite gathering places—the local coffee house. Friends will remember him as a principled man with a warm laugh, a booming voice, and a wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted caretaker of his family.
Tom enjoyed traveling with Donna over the years and especially loved road trips to Las Vegas, the California coast, and Arizona. On the rare occasions they traveled by plane, their destination was always Hawaii, a place they both dearly loved.
In 2007 and 2012 he welcomed his grandchildren Noah and Bodhi, respectively. This chapter of his life brought out a doting Grandpa who loved to entertain and inspire his grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna; his daughter, Brandy; his son-in-law, Corey; and his grandchildren, Noah and Bodhi. He is also survived by his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Mike Boehm and Ellie and John Newton. He will be reunited in heaven with his father, Ben; his mother, Dorothy; and his dear brother, Jimmy.
A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Saddleback Chapel, 220 E. Main St., Tustin, CA 92780.
